Wedding invitations are among the most treasured and important correspondence that any couple will post in their lifetime.

Approximately 113,400 Australian couples tied the knot in the last measurable statistics year and most of these mailed their wedding invitations to their guests.

Australia Post’s Philatelic Retail Development Manager, Susan Slode said the Corporation has for many years produced a variety of decorative postage stamps which have been used by couples wanting to add the ultimate finishing touch to their invitation envelopes.

There has always been a huge demand for these releases and they frequently sell out, Ms Slode said.

Australia Post’s award winning design studio have now produced a special wedding stamp booklet of 20, 45-cent denomination stamps.

Ms Slode said that each of the stamps features a prominent artistic classic design of matching wedding rings and pastel roses as well as the word congratulations.

The prestige booklet of stamps sells for $9.95 (with a stamp face value of $9.00) and comes complete with decorative stickers featuring pastel roses, which can also be used on the envelope face, or sealing tab.

The stamp booklet also features poetic words and romantic images, which will make this product a special part of the wedding couple’s correspondence, Ms Slode said.
