Blindfolded Brides Battle for Wedding Bands

What would you give to see 2 future brides delving into a huge cake, battling to be the first to find a pair of hidden wedding bands? Well, this Sunday, January 13th, you’ll get your chance! It costs nothing to attend if you’re a bride to be, and just $3.00 for everyone else. All spectators are welcome to watch the Battle for the Wedding Bands! The Battle will get underway at Kennebunk High School and is part of the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport Chamber of Commerce’s 3rd Annual Wedding Expo of the Kennebunks.

All brides attending the Expo can enter their names and 2 will be picked to participate. The brides will be blindfolded and covered with a raincoat, to protect their clothing. At the signal, they will begin battling their way through the cake provided by Pastry Gallery. The first bride to find the wedding bands takes them home with her! The two-toned gold bands are valued at over $700 and are donated by Kennebunk’s local jeweler, Dancer House Design Fine Jewelry.

The Expo will feature photographers, florists, caterers, musicians, banquet and reception facilities, jewelers and other retailers from all areas of Southern Maine. Musical performances are planned throughout the day and a fashion show will start at 2PM. Patricia Buck Bridal, carrying Maine’s largest inventory of bridal gowns and accessories, will showcase gowns for all budgets including couture lines.

All brides-to-be who come to the Expo are eligible to win raffle prizes given away all day. One lucky couple will walk away with a honeymoon stay at the Sandals all inclusive resort of their choosing.
