Taylor Photography Group Creates New Approaches To Wedding/Event Photography |
|
March 18, 2004 By: Edie Vadim Taylor Photography Group Creates New Approaches To Wedding/Event PhotographyTaylor Photography Group was founded by Rick Taylor twenty years ago, known primarily for great commercial location photography for Magazines, Annual Reports and Fashion Catalogs,. Within the last several years, Rick Taylor has made a big push to develop his wedding photography forming new approaches to Wedding/Event photography. These new approaches have been given the names - Photojournalistic Style, Artistic Style; Casually Posed, and Combination Approach, These styles are chosen by their Clients to customize their wedding photography to their own vision. What is different about this, is that most photographers settle for one approach or style for the bride and groom to choose with a few rigid packages to select from. This new wedding division of commercial photographer Rick Taylor offers four photography approaches with everything in between. The choice is up to the bride and groom or event sponsor. Total flexibility is Rick Taylor’s Motto. A big part of this new approach is Rick’s attitude which reflects people’s lifestyle today. Weddings are big events in families lives, bringing together family and friends from many parts of the country. Everyone is happy and expectant and want to enjoy the day in each other’s company. Enter Taylor Photography Group. Rick believes that the photographer should be as unobtrusive as possible, to seek out and document the day in an editorial style capturing moments that express the emotions, feelings and action of the day. He says he has no preconceived idea of what the wedding is going to be like, because they are all different. In the interview process He and The Bride and Groom figure out what photography approach matches their personalities. Rick observes and record with his Nikon’s and Hasselblad’s much like the master photographers did in the past. He catches the decisive moment pioneered by Cartier Bresson. Rick Taylor loves shooting Black and White wedding photography, which has found a resurgence of popularity in some wedding circles. A different attitude that immediately makes itself apparent is Rick Taylor's concern to make his clients money go as far as is possible. The choices are so many at the Taylor Photography Group, that it is similar to shopping at a large super store where service and quality merchandise is available in many combinations of size, colors or infinite variations. Taylor Photography Group employs commercial photography Tricks of the Trade that make each Wedding/Event come to life in a way that no Traditional Wedding Photographer could do. Rick Taylor’s experience producing Fashion, Magazine, and Advertising Photography is now available to the Bride and Groom, making their Wedding a Unique, One of a Kind Event. Event Photography also is greatly enhanced by their open attitude to exercise the clients individual requests. Rick Taylor studied with Denis Reggie, Atlanta Based Celebrity Photographer, in a extensive three and half day seminar, back in February of 1994 which has strengthened Rick’s Photojournalistic ability to offer The Preeminent Wedding Coverage. Mr. Reggie is often credited for coining the term Photojournalistic Weddings. Mr.Reggie has photographed all the Kennedy weddings in the last several decades. The Preeminent Wedding Coverage is photographed in a Photojournalistic and Artistic Style, reacting to the wedding, recording it rather than controlling it. This freedom is gratefully enjoyed by all, during the Wedding, allowing the events and proceedings to progress naturally rather than in a contrived manner. When the Wedding or Event is shot in this Photojournalistic Style, there is a tremendous amount of film and images made available to the client, which in turn drives the cost of the coverage up. Taylor Photography Group offers a Album Coverage for those searching for a wedding coverage with a lesser budget. It features the newest cutting edge Photojournalistic Style that captures the spontaneous moments as they happen during the wedding, combined with the Casually Posed Style that is produced in a quick and easy manner. This coverage fits more of Atlanta's better weddings. This is a popular coverage for those searching for freedom from overbearing photographers utilizing some photojournalism photography combined with some posed shots everyone expects and loves. Finally, the most fun approach is The Artistic Style. This is for the free of heart who want wedding photographs to look completely different from today's offering of approaches, albums and so forth. This style allows for complete freedom to experiment in new areas of photography. The choices are many. Just as film directors are experimenting with camera angles, lighting effects, points of views, soft focus, etc. so too is Taylor Photography Group. Grain techniques, blur motion, hard flash fill like current fashion photographers are using are many of the offerings in this group. Rick is inventing, and wanting to experiment as much as their clients will allow; often Black and White is the preferred medium in this approach. Open minded is the key to discovery here.
