Los Angeles Black Business Expo and Trade Show Seeks Contestants for Fourth Dream Wedding

The Los Angeles Black Business Expo and Trade Show and KJLH FM have announced this year's contest for the 4th Annual Dream Wedding.

This year's wedding will be a Zulu Wedding. Incorporating the customs and colors of an authentic South African wedding, Ahneva Ahneva, who has designed the wedding party attire since its inception will again set fashion trends to add textures and textiles of African fabrics, beadwork and finery.

The popular KJLH morning show, hosted by Cliff Winston and Janine Hydell, launched the contest on June 15. Couples are requested to submit an essay in 100 words or less stating why they should be selected to win the LABBETS/KJLH Dream Wedding. A panel of judges chose 9 finalists from which the winning couple was selected.

The winning couple will receive complementary wedding products and services contributed by Expo exhibitors with an estimated value of over $30,000. The newlyweds will honeymoon immediately following the wedding at a place to be determined. Last year's couple enjoyed two honeymoons: the first in a Salt Lake City resort courtesy of Uniglobe Great Escapes Travel. Their prize package also included two round-trip tickets on Air Jamaica from Los Angeles to Montego Bay for a one-week stay at Rose's By-The-Sea Fisherman's Inn, a beach front hotel.

In addition to the officiating reverend, wedding coordination, trips and bridal attire, the couple for the 2000 Expo will enjoy a wide range of products graciously contributed by the Expo exhibitors. Last year's couple, Rae and David Jones were showered by the following companies:
